Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Despoutt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Ralte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ralte has chosen I will not bow as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Michael Ralte told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ralte throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The fight stays on the outside here - Despoutt looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ralte shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Despoutt as he jumps to the side.
Despoutt throws a head kick but Ralte moves out of range.
Despoutt looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ralte tries to close the distance and clinch but Despoutt swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ralte shoots in for a takedown but Despoutt shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ralte shoots for a double leg takedown but Despoutt sprawls well. He's pushed Ralte's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Ralte counters with a nice double leg into side control. Despoutt won't be happy with that.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

That was a close second round but I would say that Paul Despoutt will probably get the nod.

Ralte slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Ralte is working to tighten is grip on Despoutt's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Despoutt has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Ralte is really squeezing tight and eventually Despoutt passes out! Ralte breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
