PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spencer Jorgenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Mt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jorgenson comes to the cage accompanied by Made You Look by Nas. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Spencer Jorgenson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dave Mt!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mt throws a head kick but Jorgenson moves out of range.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jorgenson, as that shot connected.
Mt slaps away a takedown attempt from Jorgenson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Mt pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jorgenson.
Jorgenson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mt as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Spencer Jorgenson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jorgenson fails to land the takedown.
Jorgenson cracks Mt with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Mt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jorgenson shoots in but Mt avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jorgenson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mt finds it's way round the side to connect with Jorgenson's head.

Jorgenson shoots in looking for a takedown. Mt tries to sprawl out of it but Jorgenson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Jorgenson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mt's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Jorgenson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mt swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jorgenson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jorgenson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Jorgenson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mt's guard.
Jorgenson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jorgenson wants to take a breather but Mt is having none of it.
Mt looks like he's trying to stand up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mt can do anything to dispel that myth.

Jorgenson wants to work for an arm triangle but Mt is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Mt pushes Jorgenson off looking to stand but Jorgenson dives back in and keeps control.

Mt is not content to let Jorgenson control the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Spencer Jorgenson.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mt lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jorgenson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jorgenson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Jorgenson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mt pinned against the cage. Mt gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jorgenson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Mt chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jorgenson can pounce on him.

Mt is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Jorgenson is cranking Mt's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Mt! He's tightened the choke and Mt is tapping out!
