Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ian Fourie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kelvin Stewart! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fourie fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Fourie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stewart is fending him off so far but Fourie persists. Nope, Stewart circles away and we're back to standing. Fourie feints and as Stewart raises his hands in defense, Fourie changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Fourie content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Stewart is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fourie is aware though and is defending well. Fourie missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Stewart looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Fourie is defending well. Stewart quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Fourie has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Stewart celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
