Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Condit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michael Condit will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Condit!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Condit fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Carwin to the ground. Condit is now in Carwin's guard.
Condit trying to control but Carwin is working from the bottom.
Condit preventing the sweep.
Carwin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Condit can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Carwin keeping moving, preventing Condit from controlling successfully.
Condit avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Carwin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Carwin wants to sweep but no luck.
Carwin pulls Condit in close to his closed guard and prevents Condit from doing any damage or advancing position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Carwin is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carwin missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Condit is looking to stand up but Carwin isn't so interested in that idea.

Carwin stands up and waves to Condit to follow him.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Condit shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Carwin keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Carwin is looking for a sweep. Condit is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Condit wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carwin keeps working.
Condit really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carwin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Condit looks gassed!

Carwin is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Condit is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Carwin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Condit!
Condit is working to get back to half guard.
Carwin working Condit over with strikes here.
Carwin is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Condit can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Carwin is working for a guillotine from mount but Condit frees his head quite easily.

Carwin cracks Condit with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Carwin with a couple of short strikes.
Condit is rocked!
Carwin lands a big elbow - Condit is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Condit is forced to tap out!
