The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Georgsen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Barnes sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Georgsen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Barnes avoids it really well and circles away.
Georgsen throws a series of strikes that have Barnes backpedaling.
It looks like Mike Barnes has been cut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Barnes is on top in guard.
Barnes slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Barnes lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Georgsen down.
