Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Beamer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikko Skeletor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mikko Skeletor!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beamer gets caught flat footed, as Skeletor shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Beamer is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Beamer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Skeletor is just riding it out for now. Beamer eventually gives up the hold.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Skeletor feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Beamer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Skeletor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Skeletor shoots in and drives through. Beamer sprawls well.

Beamer rushes Skeletor and presses him up against the cage.

Skeletor shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Beamer as he avoids it easily.

and Skeletor decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Beamer's guard.

Beamer is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Skeletor rolls with it to try and escape but Beamer cranks on the arm and Skeletor is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jim Beamer!
