The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fredriksson takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

and Xocoyotzin counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Fredriksson tries to clinch up but Xocoyotzin circles away and keeps his distance.
Xocoyotzin shoots in for a takedown but Fredriksson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Xocoyotzin fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fredriksson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Sylvester Fredriksson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Motecuhzoma Xocoyotzin.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Xocoyotzin loads up on a big right hand but Fredriksson slips the punch.

A nice leg kick lands there from Xocoyotzin.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sylvester Fredriksson will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Xocoyotzin lands a head kick. Fredriksson smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Fredriksson throws a leg kick but Xocoyotzin moved away.
Xocoyotzin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fredriksson is rocked!
Xocoyotzin throws an uppercut from hell that sends Fredriksson clean off his feet! He's out cold! Xocoyotzin stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
