The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rekishi pushes Jitsu away with a front kick.
Ryuta Rekishi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rekishi scores with a shot to the body.
Rekishi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jitsu has a takedown stuffed.
Rekishi scores with a spinning back kick!
Jitsu fails with a takedown attempt.
Jitsu has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Rekishi.
Rekishi is looking to slow Jitsu down with leg kicks.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jitsu is breathing heavily.

Rekishi lands a right hook to the body.
Rekishi keeps Jitsu at a distance using the push kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rekishi scores with the left hand. Jitsu knows he should have avoided that one.
Rekishi wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Rekishi misses with a wild combination.
Jitsu takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

A solid leg kick lands there for Rekishi.
Rekishi lands a two punch combo.
Rekishi throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Jitsu stumbling backwards into the cage! Jitsu bounces back off the cage towards Rekishi, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Rekishi lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Rekishi celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Ryuta Rekishi!
