The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The Blade looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The Blade on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Alves has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
The Blade looks for a takedown but Alves sprawls well.
Alves tries to score a power double leg takedown but The Blade sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Alves somewhat.

Alves shoots for a double leg takedown but The Blade sprawls well. He's pushed Alves's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The Blade tries to escape but Alves has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Alves is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. The Blade is defending well though. Alves let's go of the attempt for now.

Lucas Alves showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Alves is trying to trip The Blade. He has hold of a leg but The Blade is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Alves persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
