With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kanbei Shimada!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shimada misses with a body punch
letting Toyoku counter with a right hand.
The crowd cheers as Toyoku lands an impressive looking overhand right. Shimada doesn't seem phased though.
Toyoku throws a poor cross that misses
and Shimada counters with a nice uppercut.
Toyoku lands a nice looking kick to the body. Shimada takes a step back to recover.
Toyoku lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Toyoku misses with an uppercut.
Shimada falls off balance throwing a combination
and Toyoku counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Shimada throws a jab but it's blocked by Toyoku.
Hideo Toyoku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice leg kick lands there from Toyoku.
Toyoku chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Toyoku throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shimada sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Shimada tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Toyoku was well out of range. Poor timing from Shimada.

Toyoku misses the jab.
Hideo Toyoku is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shimada takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

It looks like Kanbei Shimada has been cut.
Toyoku clobbers Shimada with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Toyoku misses with a hook. Shimada ducked under it nicely.
Toyoku steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Shimada.
Toyoku connects with a crisp jab.
Shimada motions for Toyoku to come forward. Shimada throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Shimada takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Shimada takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Toyoku connects with a good right hand that stumbles Shimada. Shimada circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Toyoku avoids a punch combination nicely.
Shimada tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Shimada looks gassed!

Nice shot lands for Toyoku.

Shimada is rocked!
Toyoku tries to bum rush Shimada with a series of wild strikes but Shimada uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Shimada is still on wobbly legs! Can Toyoku finish him?
Toyoku lands a nice looking body kick.
Toyoku scores with a hook to the body. Shimada takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Shimada seems to have recovered his senses.
Toyoku closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Shimada! Toyoku dives in looking to finish! Shimada is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
