Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Amazing Game! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George Hominick! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Game lands with a cross. Game throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Game scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The referee asks Game politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Game prefers to stall for the moment though. Game's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Hominick is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Hominick is trying to control Game's posture but Game avoids it. You can see the frustration on Hominick's face as Game controls the position. Hominick is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Game just content to control the position. Hominick looks gassed! Game working the head and body with strikes. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Game taking a breather here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Game scores with punches from side control. Game working the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Check out the look on Game's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Game working the ground and pound. Game is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Hominick will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Hominick parries the strikes from Game easily there. Game is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hominick to escape.
Game taking a breather here. Game seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hominick for as long as he can get away with. Game has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Game scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. George Hominick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hominick throws a body punch but Game moves out of range. Hominick takes a shot right to the bread basket. Game sizes up Hominick with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Game lands with an uppercut that bounces Hominick off the cage and back into rage. Game throws a good cross that connects.
Hominick takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Game lands with a cross. Game lands a head shot. Hominick has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hominick there as he acknowledges the shot. Game connects with a right hand. Hominick shakes it off. Game fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hominick looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Hominick throws a combination that misses and Game counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Game working over Hominick with some ground and pound. Hominick looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Game slows the pace down in half guard.
Amazing Game has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Hominick fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The fighters circle momentarily. Game darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hominick walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Hominick misses with a low kick.
Game fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hominick on the side of the head. Game lands a jab. Game works Hominick's body with a nice hook. Game feints a jab promting Hominick to slip. Game then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hominick slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Hominick has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hominick there as he acknowledges the shot. Game scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Hominick tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Game was well out of range. Poor timing from Hominick. Game lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hominick drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Game cracks Hominick with a right hand to the side of the head. Game fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hominick sprawls well initially but Game persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Game wants to pass to mount but Hominick is defending the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Amazing Game dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Game stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Game wants it to stay on the feet. Game connects with a right hand. Hominick shakes it off. Hominick throws a left and a right that both miss
and Game counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Hominick takes one to the side of the head.
Hominick is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Game is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hominick can do to turn this around? A cross from Game lands. Game drives through with a takedown into guard. Game is stalling in the full guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Game's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Game is working Hominick over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Game seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Hominick is breathing heavily. Hominick working a defensive guard here.

Hominick taking some punishment here, with Game in his half guard. Game tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hominick knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Game in particular looking to stall. Hominick trying to get back to full guard but Game takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Game looking to control and managing it successfully. Amazing Game overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The referee warns Hominick that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Game is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Hominick can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Hominick cracks Game with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Game scores with a hook to the body. Hominick takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Hominick takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Hominick throws out a loose jab but Game uses good head movement to avoid it. The fighters circle momentarily. Hominick takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Game's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Game stays in close to Hominick's body and controls the position. Game is in close to Hominick's body, working some short punches and elbows. Game works over Hominick with some ground and pound from guard. Game not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Hominick is looking to stand up but Game isn't so interested in that idea.

Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Game looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hominick with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Game performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Game uses his free foot to push down on Hominick's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hominick. Game controlling the position easily from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Game landing strikes from the mount and Hominick is in trouble! Game sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hominick is working to get back to half guard.
