Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Milo Winner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Polski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Winner comes to the cage accompanied by Anderson Silva Theme Song. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Milo Winner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brian Polski!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winner blocks a head kick by Polski.
Polski fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Polski shoots in looking for a takedown but Winner manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Polski's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Polski wants to slow Winner down by chopping away at his legs.

Polski shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Winner trying desperately to get to his feet.
Polski throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Winner really wants to buck Polski off and get back to his feet.

Polski jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Winner is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Winner and Polski has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Polski wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Winner, who protects the arm well.
Winner pushes Polski away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Polski gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Polski tries to score with some ground and pound. Winner controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Polski is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Polski shoots for a double leg takedown but Winner sprawls well. He's pushed Polski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Polski shoots in looking for a takedown. Winner tries to sprawl out of it but Polski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Winner manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Winner counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Polski, as that shot connected.

Polski jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Winner walks away with a smile on his face. Polski gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Polski shoots in for a takedown but Winner shows good takedown defense.
Brian Polski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Polski shoots in and drives through. Winner sprawls well.

Polski uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Winner.

Polski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Winner's waist but Winner gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Polski off to one side.

Winner throws a hook to the side of Polski's head but Polski sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Winner lands a jab to the head.
Polski misses with a jab, cross combination.
Polski throws a head kick that half lands.

Polski swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Winner circles away from the clinch attempt
and Winner counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Winner tries a low kick but Polski avoids it.
Polski throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Winner's head.
Winner scores with a decent looking hook.
Winner dodges the punch combination from Polski.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brian Polski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Polski lands a head kick. Winner smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

and Winner counters with a left and a right that stings Polski.
Polski closes the distance but Winner moves to the side
and Winner counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Winner counters by clinching up.

Winner tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Polski avoids it.
Winner pushes off an throws an elbow but Polski leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Polski is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Winner pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Winner looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Polski with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Winner fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Polski is still in real trouble! Can Winner finish him?
Polski is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Polski takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Winner loads up with a big shot that hurts Polski! He's pulled Winner in close but Winner has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Polski survive? More strikes from Winner and Polski is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
