Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Barros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fujitsu Okinawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daniel Barros! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fujitsu Okinawa! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Kavanagh and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Okinawa as Barros shoots in. Okinawa moves out of range of the body kick. Okinawa tries to clinch up. Okinawa looks to throw the jab but Barros is out of range. Barros avoids a punch combination nicely.
Barros fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Barros looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Okinawa is fending him off so far but Barros persists. Nope, Okinawa circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Barros. That's going to take a lot out of him. Okinawa throws a front kick aimed at Barros's knee but Barros avoids it well. Barros showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Okinawa.
The fight stays on the outside here - Barros looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Okinawa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Barros moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Barros really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Barros tries for a takedown but Okinawa sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Okinawa fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Okinawa throws a nice looking combination but Barros bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Barros wants to clinch up but Okinawa keeps it at a distance. Okinawa lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Barros backs up against the cage.
Barros stuffs the takedown attempt from Okinawa. Okinawa gets slowly back to his feet. Barros throws a series of punches but Okinawa moves out of range. Okinawa fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Okinawa leaves Barros with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Barros clinches with his opponent.

Barros is breathing heavily. Okinawa wants to get back to striking at distance but Barros won't allow it.
Barros blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barros breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Barros keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Barros clinches. This has been an exciting period of action! Knees in the clinch landing for Barros.
Okinawa tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Barros just stands there and leans against the cage. Okinawa should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Barros breaks from the clinch.
Barros closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Okinawa to the mat! Okinawa manages to get full guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Okinawa looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Okinawa utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Okinawa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Barros can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Okinawa keeping moving, preventing Barros from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Okinawa working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Barros. Barros knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Okinawa on the ground. Okinawa is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Okinawa is looking to sinch up a triangle. Barros throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Okinawa's body to avoid the submission. Okinawa has instead reached around Barros's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Okinawa arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Fujitsu Okinawa!
