PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Archie Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Barrett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ferguson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dirty Harry - Gorillaz. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrett shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Ferguson counters by clinching up.

Ferguson has picked Barrett up - he's going for a ride! Ferguson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Barrett makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Frank Barrett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Archie Ferguson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Barrett.

Ferguson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Barrett tries to pull guard but Ferguson won't allow it.

Ferguson jumps into guard, dragging Barrett to the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Barrett throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ferguson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ferguson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Barrett's guard.

Barrett working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ferguson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Barrett is tightening it up a little... Ferguson has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Ferguson reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Ferguson taps out! nice BJJ there by Barrett!
