Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takeo Hidetori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sub Position (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hidetori comes into the arena with Somebody Someone - Korn blaring out of the sound system. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeo Hidetori!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Position tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hidetori sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Position somewhat.
Hidetori throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Position's head.
It looks like Sub Position has been cut.
Position misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Takeo Hidetori has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sub Position.
Position scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Hidetori tries to bench press Position off him but Position keeps the position.
Hidetori knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Position on the ground.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Position looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Hidetori is defending against the submission attempts here by Position.

Hidetori wants to control but Position is keeping busy.
Position is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Hidetori is pressing down on Position's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Position drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Position jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Hidetori lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Position!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Position is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hidetori's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hidetori's back!
Position is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Hidetori is defending well though. Position let's go of the attempt for now.
Hidetori breaks Position's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Position has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hidetori can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Position bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hidetori's guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Hidetori misses with a body kick.
Position shoots for a double leg takedown but Hidetori sprawls well. He's pushed Position's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hidetori fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Position to the ground. Hidetori is now in Position's guard.
