The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trzosnowski throws a lazy right hand but Mabini sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Trzosnowski throws a right and a left that Mabini avoids nicely.
Mabini shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Trzosnowski as he avoids it easily.
Mabini throws a body punch but Trzosnowski moves out of range.
Mabini moves away from the strike by Trzosnowski.

Trzosnowski throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Trzosnowski throws a shot from downtown. Mabini moves away and avoids it.
Trzosnowski cracks Mabini with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It looks like Apolinario Mabini has been cut.
Mabini shoots in looking for a takedown. Trzosnowski tries to sprawl out of it but Mabini keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Trzosnowski manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Mabini tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Trzosnowski was well out of range. Poor timing from Mabini.

Mabini shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Trzosnowski pinned against the cage. Trzosnowski gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Mabini is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Trzosnowski to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Trzosnowski shrugs it off.

Mabini has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Trzosnowski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mabini on the ground.

Mabini is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mabini looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mabini is looking to sinch up a triangle. Trzosnowski throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Mabini's body to avoid the submission. Mabini has instead reached around Trzosnowski's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Mabini arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
