Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marteau Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams comes into the arena with UFC: Closer to the Edge (Jared Leto) blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Simon Williams has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Simon Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marteau Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Williams breaks from the clinch.
Thomas tries to close the distance and clinch but Williams swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Williams clinches up with Thomas and pushes him back against the cage.
Williams pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Williams rushes Thomas and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Williams breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A combination from Thomas does no damage.
Williams blocks a head kick by Thomas.
Williams throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Marteau Thomas has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Thomas on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Williams fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Thomas, pushing him back against the cage.
Thomas letting Williams take a breather here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Williams.
Come on Williams - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Williams lands with a left to the head.
Williams pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Williams throws a left that rocks Thomas and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Williams dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Thomas regain composure!
Thomas is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Williams just content to control the position.
Thomas is still in real trouble! Can Williams finish him?
Thomas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Williams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Williams stands up.
Williams grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Thomas takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Williams cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Simon Williams!
