Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Kawakami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack JoHansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jack JoHansen was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, David Kawakami! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack JoHansen! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kawakami throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around JoHansen's waist but JoHansen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kawakami off to one side. David Kawakami seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice takedown defense from JoHansen. No joy for Kawakami on that attempt. Kawakami misses with a few strikes there.
JoHansen drives through with a takedown into guard. JoHansen stays in close to Kawakami's body and controls the position. JoHansen gets to his feet. Kawakami looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Kawakami fails with the takedown and JoHansen counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Kawakami. That's going to take a lot out of him. JoHansen thows a huge punch but Kawakami dodges it nicely.
JoHansen stalling. JoHansen passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kawakami! Kawakami tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. JoHansen wants to control the pace but Kawakami is squirming around nicely. Kawakami tries to hold on but JoHansen pushes him away. JoHansen postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kawakami looks a forlorn figure.
Kawakami might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. JoHansen is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kawakami has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kawakami! Kawakami is breathing heavily. Kawakami is pushing down on JoHansen's leg trying to pass to half guard. JoHansen is fighting to maintain full guard but Kawakami has managed to sneak the leg through. JoHansen is trying to maintain the position but Kawakami is very close to passing his half guard. Kawakami is looking to take a break and control but JoHansen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. JoHansen wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. JoHansen is looking to control Kawakami's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can JoHansen avoid being mounted? Kawakami seems to be working for a kimura but JoHansen defends the submission attempt. JoHansen preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Kawakami winds up and cracks JoHansen with a swinging punch to the side of the head. JoHansen looking for submissions off his back.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kawakami shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kawakami showed some decent athleticism there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kawakami is keen to just control but JoHansen is a slippery customer. Kawakami is really struggling to control JoHansen but he's trying to hold on to the position. Kawakami is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and JoHansen defends it well. Kawakami working the head and body with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kawakami is looking to take a break and control but JoHansen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Still in half guard, Kawakami seems content to control. Kawakami is working for a submission of some sort.
Kawakami is keen to just control but JoHansen is a slippery customer. Kawakami lands strikes from half guard. Kawakami is tying to control. JoHansen wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kawakami seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. JoHansen is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
