Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hb Pencil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamye Jasta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hb Pencil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jamye Jasta!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Konstantin Menshow and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jasta gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Pencil counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Pencil's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jasta takes a kick to the side of the head.
Pencil looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Jasta!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pencil lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jasta can do anything to dispel that myth.
Jasta wants to get back to his feet.
Pencil is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Jasta has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Pencil is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jasta can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Pencil has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jasta's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Pencil is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jasta to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jasta shrugs it off.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pencil cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pencil lands a heavy elbow.
Pencil can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jasta is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jasta's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Pencil pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Jasta wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Pencil has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jasta's face.

Pencil tries to control but Jasta wriggling away.
Jasta really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pencil. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pencil scoring with strikes but Jasta is staying in there.

Pencil cracks Jasta with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Jasta is still in real trouble! Can Pencil finish him?
Pencil is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Jasta goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Pencil!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Hb Pencil!
