The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaufman Jr will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kaufman Jr shoots in but no luck this time.
Kaufman Jr sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Sprinkles feints and then cracks Kaufman Jr's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kaufman Jr down.
Sprinkles fails in his attempt to clinch.
Sprinkles is looking to clinch but Kaufman Jr is avoiding it.
Kaufman Jr fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Kaufman Jr drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kaufman Jr jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Kaufman Jr is pushing down on Sprinkles's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sprinkles is fighting to maintain full guard but Kaufman Jr has managed to sneak the leg through.

Kaufman Jr is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sprinkles is just riding it out for now. Kaufman Jr eventually gives up the hold.
Sprinkles is looking to escape.

Kaufman Jr is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Kaufman Jr is working for a kimura but Sprinkles is defending it quite comfortably.
