Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pedro Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dominik No More!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries for a takedown but No More sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
No More scoring well with a low kick there.
No More wants to clinch.
Silva circles away from the clinch attempt.
Horrible takedown by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by No More which made him look bad.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Silva is defended easily by No More.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pedro Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No More gets a clinch.
Silva wants to break free but No More has control.
Silva misses with a hook from the clinch.
No More jumps into guard, dragging Silva to the mat.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Silva throws a big right hand that misses.
Silva has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's one minute gone in the round.
No More is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
No More has Silva pulled in close to control his posture.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Dominik No More was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Silva tries to clinch up but No More circles away and keeps his distance.
Silva misses with a takedown attempt
and No More counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Silva's guard now.
No More sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Silva looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! No More has picked Silva up and slammed him! Silva can't keep hold of the triangle and No More manages to pass to side control!
Silva is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Silva takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
No More throws a strike aimed at the side of Silva's head but Silva avoids it well.
No More in side control lands a decent elbow.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Silva taking a bit of punishment here - No More scoring with strikes.
No More decides to take the fight back to the feet.
No More throws a powerful right kick. Silva tried to block low but the kick was high! Silva was taken right off of his feet! No More jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Dominik No More!
