Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Goldsmith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andres Katipunan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goldsmith comes to the cage accompanied by Dos Equis. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Goldsmith bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Katipunan is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Goldsmith is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Katipunan looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Goldsmith pushes past his half guard into mount!

Goldsmith darts in and clinches Katipunan up against the cage.

Goldsmith feints a jab promting Katipunan to slip. Goldsmith then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Katipunan slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Andres Katipunan has been cut.

Goldsmith stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Katipunan.

and Goldsmith decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Katipunan's guard.

Goldsmith drops Katipunan with a left and a right! Oh, Katipunan is hurt - Goldsmith dives into side control looking to finish!

Goldsmith decides to stand up, so the ref orders Katipunan to his feet.

Goldsmith takes the fight into the clinch.

Goldsmith wants the takedown. Katipunan is fighting it off but Goldsmith persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Katipunan's guard against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Katipunan throws his legs up looking for a submission but Goldsmith uses it to pass to side control.

Katipunan tries to reverse the position but Goldsmith maintains control.
Katipunan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Goldsmith postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Katipunan looks a forlorn figure.

Katipunan has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Goldsmith is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Katipunan.

Goldsmith closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Katipunan's guard.

Katipunan looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Goldsmith has picked Katipunan up and slammed him! Katipunan can't keep hold of the triangle and Goldsmith manages to pass to side control!
Goldsmith is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Katipunan can do to turn this around?

Katipunan wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Goldsmith has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Katipunan's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Katipunan is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Goldsmith!
