Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Amir Dunham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Dooalot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dunham kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Omar Khairat - Alexandria . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Dooalot darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Dooalot misses with a kick to the body.
Nice takedown defense from Dooalot. No joy for Dunham on that attempt.
Nice body punch from Dooalot.
Dooalot looks for the body kick but Dunham saw that one coming.
Dooalot throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dunham is defended easily by Dooalot.
Dunham shoots in but Dooalot avoids the takedown attempt easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Amir Dunham will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Dooalot misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dooalot throws a head kick but Dunham moves out of range.
Dunham checks a low kick from Dooalot.
Dooalot swings for the body but Dunham moves out of range.

and Dunham counters with a shoot takedown. Dooalot fights it but they end up in guard.
Dooalot is looking to stand up but Dunham isn't so interested in that idea.
Dunham stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dooalot swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dooalot can do anything to dispel that myth.

Dunham prevents Dooalot from getting back to his feet.

Dooalot uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Dunham fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dooalot misses with a right hand

so Dunham counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Dunham drops back looking for a leg! Dooalot is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dooalot manages to kick Dunham off! Dunham jumps back into Dooalot's guard.
Dunham looking to sit in guard and control but Dooalot gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Dooalot wants to get up but he can't break Dunham's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Dunham manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dooalot manages to get himself to full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dooalot wriggles free and stands up.
Dunham looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dooalot comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Dooalot goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Dunham closes the distance and clinches up with Dooalot, looking for a takedown. Dunham pushes Dooalot against the cage but Dooalot circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Dooalot is breathing heavily.

Dunham is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Dunham is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dooalot is just riding it out for now. Dunham eventually gives up the hold.

Dooalot keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

James Dooalot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dunham changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dooalot looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Amir Dunham overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

I would just about give that final round to James Dooalot.
