Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roger Marsden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Montelibano!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Columbo Gatti and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Marsden is defended easily by Montelibano.
Marsden really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A jab from Marsden misses.
Montelibano stuffs the takedown.
Marsden slips a jab and a cross from Montelibano.
Montelibano scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


It looks like Roger Marsden has been cut.
A right-left combo lands from Marsden.
Marsden throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Montelibano ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Marsden moves away.
Marsden scores with the left hand. Montelibano knows he should have avoided that one.
Marsden just misses with a punch to the body.
No joy there for Montelibano, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Marsden throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Montelibano to counter with a crisp jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Marsden fails to land with a series of punches.
Marsden shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Montelibano as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roger Marsden. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Montelibano gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Montelibano wants to stand and escape but Marsden is having none of it.

Marsden stands up and waves to Montelibano to follow him.
Marsden shoots in and drives through. Montelibano sprawls well.
Marsden swings widly with a right hand
and Montelibano counters with a straight right hand.
Michael Montelibano is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Marsden thows a left - swing and a miss!
Montelibano fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Marsden on the side of the head.
Marsden has a takedown stuffed.
Sloppy strikes from Montelibano. Those never looked like landing.
Montelibano walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Marsden checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Marsden shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Montelibano defends it nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Marsden fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Marsden lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Montelibano circles away quickly and effectively.
Marsden tries to score a power double leg takedown but Montelibano sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Marsden somewhat.
Roger Marsden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Montelibano dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Marsden shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Montelibano defends it nicely.
Marsden lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Montelibano circles away quickly and effectively.
A bone on bone clash there as Marsden blocks the leg kick.
Marsden ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Marsden shoots in but no luck this time.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Marsden lands a nice shot that snaps Montelibano's head back.
Marsden uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Montelibano.
Marsden fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Montelibano lands with a nice body punch.
Marsden is breathing heavily.
Montelibano throws a lazy right hand but Marsden sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Oooooh!!! Montelibano has knocked Marsden down with a huge combo! Montelibano steps away and waves a wobbly Marsden back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Montelibano thows a left - swing and a miss!
Montelibano lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Marsden can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Montelibano and Marsden drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Montelibano.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Montelibano!
