Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Trace Eckies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ericsson Smart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Trace Eckies! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ericsson Smart! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smart shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Eckies but Eckies pushes him off and we're back to square one. Smart gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Eckies counters with a lovely straight right hand! Some wild striking there from Smart.
Smart looks for a takedown but Eckies sprawls well. Trace Eckies has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ericsson Smart. Eckies throws out a loose jab but Smart uses good head movement to avoid it. Smart fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A swing and a miss from Eckies. A jab from Eckies does it's job there. Eckies lands with a thumping leg kick.
Smart doesn't succeed with the takedown and Eckies counters with a nice low kick that buckles Smart's knee momentarily. Eckies misses with a looping right. Eckies lands a nice hook to Smart's body. Smart takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eckies ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Smart moves away. Smart tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Eckies paws at him with a jab and circles away. Smart shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Eckies counters with a low kick, right behind Smart 's knee. Smart looks gassed! Eckies throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Smart sees it coming and avoids it easily. Smart misses with a takedown and Eckies counters with a straight right hand. Eckies looks to throw the jab but Smart is out of range. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Smart. Eckies feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Smart's calf. Nice sprawl there from Eckies as Smart shoots in. Smart shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Eckies pinned against the ropes. Eckies gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Eckies closes the distance and clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smart drops down looking for an ankle pick but Eckies pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ericsson Smart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Eckies, right into the meat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Eckies avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Smart takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Eckies connects with a crisp jab. Eckies buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Eckies is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Eckies fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Smart has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Eckies pushes Smart up against the ropes in a clinch. Eckies breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Smart chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Eckies can pounce on him.
Eckies lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eckies throws a nice inside leg kick. Eckies fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Smart. Eckies lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Eckies moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Eckies connects with a body shot. Eckies lands a right hook to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action! Eckies moves into the clinch. Eckies breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Eckies works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Eckies fakes the leg kick and cracks Smart in the body. Eckies wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Eckies thumps Smart with a low kick. Trace Eckies is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Eckies throws a leg kick which misses Smart's front leg but catches the back leg as Smart tries to avoid it. Eckies throws a nice outside leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Eckies throws a hook but Smart blocks it. Smart's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Smart tries to score a power double leg takedown but Eckies sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smart somewhat. Eckies lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Eckies scores with a leg kick.

That's five minutes gone in the round. Eckies connects with a solid leg kick. Eckies chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Smart takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Eckies swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Smart on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Smart fails with the takedown. Smart takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Eckies clinches. A battle for position here, against the ropes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Eckies throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Smart blocks it with crossed arms. Eckies pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Smart closes the distance and clinches up with Eckies, looking for a takedown. Smart pushes Eckies against the ropes but Eckies circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Smart tries for a takedown but Eckies sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Eckies throws a hook but Smart blocks it. Eckies lands a body shot.
Jab from Eckies. Eckies thumps Smart with a low kick. Eckies lands a front kick. That kick from Eckies tenderised Smart's leg. Smart is trying to keep his angry face on. Eckies looks to land a combination. Smart sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Eckies cracks Smart with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. Eckies is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Smart shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Smart moves out of range as Eckies strikes. Eckies loads up on a big right hand but Smart slips the punch. Eckies throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Eckies jabbing away but nothing is landing. Smart shoots in and drives through. Eckies sprawls well. Smart has his takedown stuffed and Eckies cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Smart takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Smart shoots in looking for a takedown. Eckies tries to sprawl out of it but Smart keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Eckies manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A chopping leg kick lands by Eckies. Eckies misses with a hook. Smart keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Eckies. Eckies stuffs the takedown.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Smart misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Eckies clinches up against the ropes. Eckies's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Eckies misses with a body shot.
Eckies turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Eckies chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Eckies lands a nice looking body shot.
Smart stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Eckies. A big left from Eckies misses. Eckies scores with the left hand. Smart knows he should have avoided that one. Eckies just misses with a punch to the body.
Smart is trying desperately to land a takedown but Eckies is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Smart. Smart shoots and misses and Smart takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Smart takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Eckies scoring well with a low kick there.
Good leg kick by Eckies there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A telegraphed right hand from Eckies misses the target. Eckies with a jab. Eckies misses with a looping left. Eckies instigates a clinch. Eckies breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Smart looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Smart ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Eckies throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Smart's head. Smart gets cracked there but stands up to it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Trace Eckies dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Eckies uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Smart has time to react. Eckies wants to clinch up but Smart keeps it at a distance. Eckies misses with an uppercut. Smart gets the takedown into side control. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Smart tries to score with some ground and pound. Eckies controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Eckies can't do much from the bottom here. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Smart looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Smart cracks Eckies with a big elbow. Smart has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Smart is breathing heavily. Eckies is trying to get back to half guard. Eckies can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eckies avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Smart. Smart wants to lay and pray for a moment but Eckies keeps working. Eckies tries to improve position but can't. Eckies is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Smart can do to turn this around? Smart works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Eckies on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Eckies tries to get out of the position. Smart is looking to take a break and control but Eckies is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Eckies takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Eckies knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smart on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smart scores with a couple of short elbows. Eckies looking for a sweep but Smart has passed into full mount! Oh no! Smart landing shots from mount. Smart with the ground and pound from mount. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Smart is working for a guillotine from mount but Eckies frees his head quite easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Smart landing strikes, looking to finish! Eckies is desperately trying to improve his position but Smart has a good base and remains in mount. Ericsson Smart has got the better of the ground game so far. Smart with a couple of short strikes. Smart dominating with strikes here. Smart lands a big elbow. A nice elbow there by Smart. Smart with the ground and pound from mount. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Smart unloading with bombs!

Oh Eckies is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Smart with good strikes from the mount here! The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Eckies taking shots to the head. Smart pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Eckies takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Smart's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
