Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mac fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but NineThousand avoids it really well and circles away.
Mac tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but NineThousand swivels and escapes.
Mac fails with a takedown attempt.
Hal NineThousand has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Markus Mac.
Mac misses with a takedown attempt - NineThousand sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mac dives in and grabs NineThousand's left leg, looking for a takedown. NineThousand pushes down on Mac's head and hops out.

Hal NineThousand seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
NineThousand throws a right hand that Mac ducks under and follows up with a left that Mac also avoids with ease.

Mac changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. NineThousand tries to avoid it but Mac manages to keep hold of a leg and drag NineThousand to the ground. NineThousand escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
NineThousand misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mac tries to score a power double leg takedown but NineThousand sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mac somewhat.

Mac uses his free foot to push down on NineThousand's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for NineThousand.

NineThousand suckers Mac into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! NineThousand is now in Mac's guard!
