Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jorma Uzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiger Mask (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uzi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Brocken Limb. Mask has chosen Eye of the Tiger as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jorma Uzi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tiger Mask!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uzi misses with a takedown attempt
and Mask counters with a left to the body.
Mask tries a head kick but it misses.
Uzi avoids the body shot from Mask.
Uzi takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Mask scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Mask is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Uzi will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Uzi is looking for a sweep.
Mask wants to control but Uzi is keeping him busy.
Mask working away.

Uzi avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Mask.

Mask is trying to get an arm triangle but Uzi is defending well.
Uzi dodges the ground and pound from Mask.
Uzi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mask wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Uzi manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Uzi is looking to improve his position.

Mask is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Uzi doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mask.
Uzi trying to get back to full guard but Mask takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Uzi is working to get back to half guard.
Mask raining down shots from the mount!
Mask avoids the attempt from Uzi to control.
Uzi really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mask tries to control but Uzi wriggling away.

Uzi somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!

Uzi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Mask is in all sorts of trouble here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Uzi looking to control but Mask is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mask regains half guard.

Uzi wants to work for an arm triangle but Mask is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tiger Mask dominated that round.

Uzi doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Mask decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Uzi's guard.
Mask with a flurry of punches that miss.

Uzi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Mask throws a strike but Uzi rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Uzi trying to control but Mask is working from the bottom.
Mask has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Uzi slips nicely into half guard.
Mask trying to control from the bottom.
Mask keeping control of the position.
Mask is trying to control but can't.

Uzi is working for a kimura but Mask is defending it quite comfortably.
Mask wants to control but Uzi is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Uzi is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Mask works his way to full guard. Good work.
Mask wants to improve his position but instead Uzi has moved into half guard.

Uzi is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mask sees it coming and defends easily.
Uzi is trying to control. Mask wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Uzi looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Uzi is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Uzi moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Mask has worked his arm free - good work by Mask!
Mask regains half guard.
Uzi is looking to advance position but Mask won't allow it.

Uzi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mask doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Uzi.

Mask is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Tiger Mask will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Mask wants to clinch.
Uzi moves out of range of the strikes.
Mask circles away from the clinch attempt
and Mask cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mask lands with a slapping head kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A leg kick checked by Uzi.
Uzi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mask sprawls well. Mask wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Uzi gets slowly back to his feet.
Uzi tries to clinch up

and Mask counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Uzi wants to sweep but no luck.
Uzi trying to keep a closed guard but Mask is proving a slippery customer.
Mask throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Uzi works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Jorma Uzi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Mask trying to control the position from guard on top but Uzi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Uzi is looking for a triangle but Mask pushes his legs off easily.
Mask sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Uzi's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ground and pound from Mask.
Mask throwing shots but Uzi is blocking nicely.
Mask not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Mask prevents Uzi from standing back up.

Mask seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Uzi is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Tiger Mask!
