The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sovan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sovan shoots and misses
enabling Drewnski to counter with a crisp jab.
Drewnski looks to land a combination but Sovan avoids it well.
Drewnski will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Sovan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Sovan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Drewnski is looking to stand up but Sovan isn't so interested in that idea.

Drewnski on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Drewnski tries to get out of the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sovan is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Sovan with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Drewnski is rocked!
Sovan loads up on a big left hand. Drewnski felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Sovan looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Drewnski can't hide his disappointment, as Sovan celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Giwa Sovan!
