Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kova Vasuri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hannu Karpo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kova Vasuri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hannu Karpo!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasuri misses with a series of wild punches.
Karpo walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

It looks like Hannu Karpo has been cut.
Karpo wants to slow Vasuri down by chopping away at his legs.
Vasuri lands with a kick to the ribs.
Vasuri throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Karpo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Karpo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Vasuri to the ground. Karpo is now in Vasuri's guard.
Karpo prevents Vasuri from getting back to his feet.
Karpo is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Karpo stops Vasuri from standing up.
Vasuri trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Karpo's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Karpo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Karpo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Karpo landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Vasuri wants to stand back up but Karpo manages to pass into side control.
Vasuri wants to get back to his feet.
Karpo wants to control but Vasuri is keeping him busy.
Vasuri takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Karpo trying to control the action but Vasuri is working from the bottom.
Vasuri knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Karpo on the ground.
Karpo is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Karpo creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Vasuri sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Karpo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Vasuri, who protects the arm well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vasuri wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Karpo misses with the ground and pound.
Karpo works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Vasuri is trying to buck Karpo off.

Karpo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Vasuri is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A close round but Hannu Karpo will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Vasuri fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Karpo tries for a takedown but Vasuri sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Vasuri counters with a crisp one two that drops Karpo! Vasuri thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Karpo to his feet! Karpo is in big trouble!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Karpo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Vasuri swinging wildly here.
Vasuri looks to land a body kick but Karpo moved away.
Vasuri moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Kova Vasuri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A thudding body kick lands there by Vasuri!
Karpo is breathing heavily.
Vasuri misses with a combination
and Karpo counters with a low kick, right behind Vasuri 's knee.
Vasuri throws a head kick that misses.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Karpo is defended easily by Vasuri.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Karpo crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Vasuri - the referee stops the clock and Karpo gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Vasuri. Karpo manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Vasuri takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Vasuri catches Karpo with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Karpo forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
