Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between JeanGuy Rubberboot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rubberboot's entrance music is Anticipateurs - G.S.P. . A fine choice. Taylor has chosen Back To School by Deftones as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. JeanGuy Rubberboot has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, JeanGuy Rubberboot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Nathan Taylor! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rubberboot fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Taylor avoids it really well and circles away. Rubberboot ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Taylor moves away. Rubberboot closes the distance and clinches up with Taylor, looking for a takedown. Rubberboot pushes Taylor against the cage but Taylor circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Rubberboot tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Taylor manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A clash of legs there as Rubberboot blocks the low kick. Taylor misses with a two punch combination.
JeanGuy Rubberboot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rubberboot fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for JeanGuy Rubberboot. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rubberboot dives in and grabs Taylor's left leg, looking for a takedown. Taylor pushes down on Rubberboot's head and hops out. Rubberboot tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Taylor swivels and escapes. Rubberboot closes the distance looking to clinch letting Taylor counter with a right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rubberboot manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Taylor on his heels. He'll look to pass Taylor's guard now, I'm sure. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Rubberboot trying to control but Taylor is working from the bottom. Taylor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rubberboot. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rubberboot postures up in Taylor's guard and throws a big left but Taylor blocks it. Rubberboot has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rubberboot thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Rubberboot trying to control the position from guard on top but Taylor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rubberboot lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rubberboot being controlled here momentarily. Rubberboot wants to control from the top but Taylor keeps moving. Rubberboot throws and elbow that misses. Taylor uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rubberboot's guard. Nice move by Taylor! Taylor tries to stand but Rubberboot is controlling from the bottom. Taylor trying to control the position from guard on top but Rubberboot is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rubberboot trying to keep a closed guard but Taylor is proving a slippery customer.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rubberboot working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Taylor doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Taylor manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rubberboot looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rubberboot is looking for a triangle but Taylor pushes his legs off easily.

Rubberboot is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Taylor avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Taylor trying to control the position from guard on top but Rubberboot is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rubberboot had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Taylor defends it easily. Rubberboot working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Taylor has passed into half guard!
Rubberboot tries to kick Taylor off but Taylor keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Taylor is pressing down on Rubberboot's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rubberboot is holding on for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rubberboot wants to improve his position but Taylor is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
JeanGuy Rubberboot dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Taylor connects with a high kick. Taylor fails to land with a series of punches.
Rubberboot shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Rubberboot misses with a double jab
and Taylor counters with a straight right hand. No luck for Rubberboot with that takedown attempt. Taylor throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Taylor throws a series of punches but Rubberboot avoids them all with ease. Rubberboot doesn't manage to clinch there - Taylor circles away.
Horrible takedown by Rubberboot or perhaps it was just good defense by Taylor which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for JeanGuy Rubberboot. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rubberboot closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rubberboot thows a huge punch but Taylor dodges it nicely.
Rubberboot is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Taylor! Rubberboot tries to control but Taylor wriggling away. Rubberboot misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Rubberboot controlling the position easily from mount. Taylor holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Rubberboot tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Taylor is looking to improve his position but Rubberboot isn't that keen on the idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rubberboot is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Taylor is forced to tap! Great finish!
