Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan McPhee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McPhee kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Loose yourself. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryan McPhee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Wilson! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McPhee fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Wilson scores with a shot to the body.
McPhee looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. McPhee uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wilson.
Wilson thows a left - swing and a miss! McPhee has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Wilson throws a sloppy head kick and McPhee moves out of range easily. McPhee blocks a head kick by Wilson.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A head kick misses from Wilson. McPhee steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wilson. McPhee is looking to chop away at Wilson's legs. Wilson looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

McPhee feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Wilson sprawling to the canvas! Wilson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can McPhee finish him?!

It looks like Matt Wilson has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McPhee ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wilson moves away. McPhee closes the distance and pushes Wilson back into the cage. Wilson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. McPhee is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Wilson works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
A battle for position here, against the cage. Wilson seems frustrated at his inability to get double underhooks. Wilson misses with a body punch.

McPhee stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. McPhee has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Wilson uses from the top position.

McPhee has control of Wilson's left arm, preventing Wilson from doing any damage. Wilson wants to control from the top but McPhee keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McPhee is pulling down on Wilson's head. It's preventing any offense from Wilson, at least for the moment. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Wilson tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and McPhee avoids it. Wilson wants a takedown but no success here.

Wilson is working for takedown but McPhee is calmly controlling the position for now. Wilson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Wilson misses with a hook to the ribs.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. McPhee swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wilson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from McPhee finds it's way round the side to connect with Wilson's head. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Wilson, right into the meat.

Wilson's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! McPhee's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A slow jab from Wilson misses its intended target. McPhee thows a leg kick but Wilson checks it and Wilson counters with a three punch combo that has McPhee backing up. McPhee nods at Wilson to acknowledge the strikes. Wilson walks into a left hand. McPhee blocks a jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McPhee lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wilson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wilson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Wilson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McPhee motions for Wilson to come forward. McPhee throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Wilson rushes McPhee and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wilson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ryan McPhee will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Matt Wilson's cut. That's time! McPhee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Wilson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Wilson won't allow McPhee to pass to mount. Wilson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. McPhee looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ryan McPhee. McPhee throws out a token jab with nothing on it. McPhee tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wilson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McPhee somewhat. Both fighters are breathing heavily. McPhee tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wilson was well out of range. Poor timing from McPhee.
