Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Siduri Rafter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Mcghee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcghee has chosen Like a Prayer as his entrance music. Siduri Rafter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcghee throws a front kick aimed at Rafter's knee but Rafter avoids it well.
Mcghee stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Rafter throws a shot from downtown. Mcghee moves away and avoids it.
Rafter looks to land a left hand but Mcghee moved out of range nicely.
Rafter misses with an uppercut
and Rafter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mcghee stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mcghee wants it to stay on the feet.
Rafter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mcghee fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rafter.
Rafter looks to land a right hand but Mcghee moved out of range.
Rafter misses with a takedown attempt - Mcghee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mcghee throws a nice looking combination but Rafter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Siduri Rafter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mcghee forces Rafter back against the cage and clinches.

Mcghee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fighters circling - Rafter throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mcghee looks to land a body kick but Rafter moved away.
Mcghee throws a sloppy head kick and Rafter moves out of range easily.

Rafter takes a jab right on the kisser.
Mcghee swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Rafter paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Rafter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mcghee moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rafter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mcghee moves away.
Mcghee uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rafter.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rafter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mcghee was well out of range. Poor timing from Rafter.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

It looks like Siduri Rafter has been cut.

Rafter closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rafter tries to move to full mount but Mcghee actually manages to regain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We're going to have a standup here because Siduri Rafter wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Rafter can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mcghee is looking to escape.

Rafter checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Rafter clobbers Mcghee with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Rafter swings for the body but Mcghee moves out of range.

Mcghee is looking to clinch.

and Mcghee counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Nice defenses there by Mcghee.

Rafter gets the takedown into side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Rafter tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Mcghee is trying to get back to half guard.
Rafter wants to control but Mcghee is keeping him busy.
Rafter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Rafter wants to take a breather but Mcghee manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Rafter.
Mcghee can't keep his opponent in guard - Rafter advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Siduri Rafter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rafter is keen to just control but Mcghee is a slippery customer.

Rafter wants to pass the guard but Mcghee is defending well.

Rafter thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mcghee's head.
Rafter thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Rafter uses his free foot to push down on Mcghee's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mcghee.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
