Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Ronbo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Philip Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Philip Phillips told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Ronbo as Phillips shoots in.
Phillips shoots in looking for a takedown but Ronbo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Phillips's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Phillips shoots in and drives through. Ronbo sprawls well.
Ronnie Ronbo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Philip Phillips.

Ronbo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Phillips's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Phillips's back!
Ronbo is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Phillips is defending well though. Ronbo let's go of the attempt for now.
Phillips is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Ronbo is bucking up trying to escape but Phillips cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Phillips wants to finish this one by submission but Ronbo is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Phillips.
Phillips has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ronbo's face.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Phillips has hold of Ronbo's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Ronbo manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
