Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rolex Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Mozee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gracie might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Flying Submissions. Rolex Gracie has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daniel Mozee! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Felipe Paraventi and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mozee misses with an uppercut. Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. Mozee tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mozee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Gracie shoots in and drives through. Mozee sprawls well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rolex Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice defenses there by Gracie.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mozee displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gracie. A jab from Mozee misses. Mozee connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Gracie shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mozee defends it nicely.

Mozee is defending well but Gracie drives through and ends up in Mozee's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Gracie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mozee is working an open guard so Gracie takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Mozee throws an uppercut from half a mile away. so Gracie counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mozee avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Gracie not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gracie has a takedown stuffed. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oooooooooooh, not good. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Gracie has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Gracie and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mozee throws a big shot that misses. Mozee swings for the body but Gracie moves out of range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gracie is defended easily by Mozee. Daniel Mozee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mozee moves out of range as Gracie strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Gracie fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rolex Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mozee throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Mozee might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Mozee punishes Gracie's body with a nice straight punch. Mozee jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mozee throws an overhand right that lands on Gracie's shoulder, as Gracie tries to avoid the shot. Gracie fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Left hook, right uppercut from Gracie. Nice shot lands for Mozee.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mozee digs a good body shot into Gracie's ribs. Gracie shoots for a takedown but Mozee saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Gracie on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Mozee connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gracie momentarily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mozee misses with a looping right. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Mozee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Gracie moves out of range of the strikes. Mozee misses the shot to the body. Mozee tests Gracie's chin there with a solid looking shot. Gracie slips under a jab. Mozee is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gracie.

so Gracie counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mozee swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gracie's corner is telling him to maintain position. Gracie advances to half guard. Mozee is trying to stand back up but Gracie is controlling him
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Mozee tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Gracie!
