Palowunu tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Valuev manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Palowunu connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Palowunu.
Palowunu shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Valuev is trying to defend but Palowunu finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Palowunu seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Valuev is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
