Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergej Kaputt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aleksei Belov! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kaputt manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Kaputt keeping moving, preventing Belov from controlling successfully. Belov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kaputt swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kaputt pulls Belov in close to prevent any damage. Belov not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Belov trying to control but Kaputt is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Aleksei Belov hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Kaputt keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Belov. Belov takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kaputt's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kaputt duly obliges. Kaputt tries a head kick but it misses.

Sergej Kaputt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aleksei Belov. Kaputt looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Belov throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kaputt tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Belov is in Kaputt's guard. Kaputt has control of Belov's left arm, preventing Belov from doing any damage. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. The ref stands the fighters back up. Sergej Kaputt wasn't doing enough on the ground. Belov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kaputt tries to avoid it but Belov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kaputt to the ground. Kaputt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Belov has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Kaputt tries to score with a low kick but Belov moves his leg out of the way. Horrible takedown by Belov or perhaps it was just good defense by Kaputt which made him look bad.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kaputt pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Kaputt takes a shot right to the bread basket. Sergej Kaputt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Belov shoots for a takedown but Kaputt saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kaputt stuns Belov with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Belov checks a leg kick. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kaputt misses with a head kick.

Kaputt has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Belov is working away from the top position though. Kaputt tries to get to full guard but Belov has control of the leg. And that's the end of the fight! Sergej Kaputt showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kaputt, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
