Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jermaine Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jecht Besaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cole comes to the cage accompanied by J. Cole - Blow Up. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jecht Besaid!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cole shoots in and gets a takedown into Besaid's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Besaid controls Cole momentarily but Cole frees himself.
Cole wants to control from the top but Besaid keeps moving.
Besaid keeping full guard, as Cole tries to pass.
Cole has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Besaid has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cole can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Besaid is looking to stand up but Cole isn't so interested in that idea.
Besaid manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cole manages to get himself to full guard.

Besaid trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Besaid pushes down on Cole's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Besaid trying to control from half guard but Cole is working away.
Besaid throwing shots but Cole is blocking nicely.

Besaid decides to stand up.

Cole closes the distance and clinches up with Besaid, looking for a takedown. Cole pushes Besaid against the cage but Besaid circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jermaine Cole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cole has his takedown stuffed
and Besaid counters with a straight right hand.
Cole shoots in but Besaid avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jermaine Cole. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Besaid takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Besaid counters with a straight right hand.

Besaid looks to land a combination but Cole avoids it well.

and Besaid counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Besaid counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Cole slips a jab and a cross from Besaid.
Cole cracks Besaid with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Cole shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Besaid to counter with a crisp jab.
Besaid throws a series of strikes that have Cole backpedaling.
Cole fails with a takedown attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cole tries for a takedown but Besaid circles away easily
and Besaid counters with a left and a right that stings Cole.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jecht Besaid dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Cole misses with a leg kick
and Besaid counters with a three punch combo that has Cole backing up. Cole nods at Besaid to acknowledge the strikes.
Cole shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Besaid is trying to defend but Cole finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Cole is trying to control the action in half guard but Besaid is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Besaid is looking for a sweep. Cole is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Besaid gets full guard.

Besaid lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cole!

Besaid trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Cole doesn't escape.
Besaid has the hooks in. Cole is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Besaid has good solid back control here.

Besaid struggling to keep hold of the position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The referee is taking a good look at Cole as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Besaid!
Besaid is not going to allow Cole to sit and survive in this position.
Cole is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Cole rolls, trying to escape but Besaid keeps control of the position.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Besaid's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Cole can't escape the position.
Cole covers up after that shot from Besaid.
Besaid connects with a big shot to the side of Cole's head.
Cole tries to escape but Besaid has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Cole prevents Besaid from getting a body triangle.
Cole wants to control his opponent's hands but Besaid gets his hands free.

Cole won't enjoy being in this position. Besaid looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Cole is tapping - it's over boys! Besaid picks up the submission victory!
