Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Deon Du Plessis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Crack Corn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Du Plessis comes to the cage accompanied by Fort Minor - Remember the name. Crack Corn comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Jimmy cracks heads and he dont care kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Deon Du Plessis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy Crack Corn! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Du Plessis tries to clinch but Crack Corn is having none of it. Du Plessis wants to clinch up but Crack Corn keeps it at a distance. Du Plessis is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Du Plessis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Du Plessis rushes Crack Corn and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Du Plessis misses with a punch on the inside.
Du Plessis is looking to control Crack Corn's arms but Crack Corn gets an underhook and turns him. Now Du Plessis has his back to the cage. Crack Corn being controlled against the cage. Crack Corn drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Du Plessis gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Deon Du Plessis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Crack Corn. Du Plessis moves in looking to clinch but Crack Corn pushes him off. Du Plessis tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Crack Corn manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Crack Corn looks for a takedown but Du Plessis sprawls well. Du Plessis takes one on the button.

Du Plessis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Crack Corn paws at him with a jab and circles away. Crack Corn swats away the attempt to clinch by Du Plessis. Du Plessis rushes Crack Corn and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Du Plessis misses with an elbow over the top. Du Plessis stops a takedown attempt from Crack Corn.

Crack Corn has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Du Plessis is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's four minutes gone in the round. Crack Corn throws a series of punches but Du Plessis moves out of range. Crack Corn feints a jab promting Du Plessis to slip. Crack Corn then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Du Plessis slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Du Plessis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Du Plessis shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Crack Corn is trying to defend but Du Plessis finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. This has been an exciting period of action! Du Plessis is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Crack Corn reverses the position - he's now on top in Du Plessis's guard. Crack Corn throwing strikes from guard but Du Plessis blocks nicely. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Crack Corn postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Crack Corn wants to control from the top but Du Plessis keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He's got hold of a leg but Du Plessis swivels and escapes. Du Plessis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Crack Corn paws at him with a jab and circles away. Du Plessis fails in his attempt to clinch. Crack Corn shoots in and bounces Du Plessis off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Du Plessis has momentary wrist control but Crack Corn slips an elbow through the middle. Crack Corn landing with the ground and pound. Du Plessis trying to control the position.
Crack Corn advances to half guard. Du Plessis wants to control but Crack Corn is keeping busy and won't allow it. Crack Corn thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Du Plessis's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crack Corn takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Du Plessis keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Crack Corn thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Crack Corn lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Jimmy Crack Corn has got the better of the ground game so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Crack Corn not landing any meaningful shots this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Crack Corn looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Du Plessis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Crack Corn takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Crack Corn is keen to just control but Du Plessis is a slippery customer. Crack Corn is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Du Plessis sees it coming and defends easily. Crack Corn moves into full mount! Du Plessis won't be happy about that!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crack Corn controlling from mount. Crack Corn lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Crack Corn working the ground and pound effectively.

Du Plessis is desperately trying to improve his position but Crack Corn has a good base and remains in mount. Crack Corn lands a big elbow. Du Plessis tries to hold on but Crack Corn postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crack Corn lands a nice shot to the head. Crack Corn can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Du Plessis is looking to escape. Crack Corn lands a nice shot to the head. Du Plessis is in a horrible position here. Crack Corn smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Du Plessis tries to hold on but Crack Corn pushes him away. Crack Corn working away from the top, dropping strikes. Crack Corn with a couple of short strikes. Crack Corn lands a big elbow.
Du Plessis is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Crack Corn controlling from the full mount. Oh Du Plessis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crack Corn postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Du Plessis in real trouble here! The ref calls for Du Plessis to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
