Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stanley Ipkiss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordon Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stanley Ipkiss! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 14 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gordon Freeman! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Ivan Kurochkin and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Ipkiss, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ipkiss throws a left and a right that both miss
and Freeman counters with a shoot takedown. Ipkiss fights it but they end up in guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Freeman trying to control the position from guard on top but Ipkiss is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Freeman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Gordon Freeman wasn't active enough on the ground. Ipkiss looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

and Freeman counters with a one-two to the body. Ipkiss throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Freeman counters with a nice double leg into guard. Freeman wants to control from the top but Ipkiss keeps moving. Freeman content to stall in guard here. Freeman drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ipkiss looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ipkiss looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ipkiss! Ipkiss decides to take the fight back to the feet.

and Freeman counters with a single leg into guard. Ipkiss didn't expect that. Freeman wants to control from the top but Ipkiss keeps moving. Ipkiss wants to stand up but Freeman is controlling him. Freeman tries to free his leg and advance position but Ipkiss is retaining full guard. Freeman controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Gordon Freeman hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Freeman gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Ipkiss throws a series of strikes that have Freeman backpedaling.
It looks like Gordon Freeman has been cut. Nice straight punches there by Ipkiss. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ipkiss. Freeman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ipkiss's waist but Ipkiss gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Freeman off to one side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ipkiss scores with a one two! Freeman had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Ipkiss throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Freeman. Ipkiss misses with a wild combination.
Freeman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ipkiss swivels and escapes. Freeman shoots in and drives through. Ipkiss sprawls well. Stanley Ipkiss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gordon Freeman. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ipkiss stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Ipkiss swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Freeman counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Freeman. Freeman looking to sit in guard and control but Ipkiss gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Freeman looks gassed! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Freeman controls Ipkiss momentarily but Ipkiss frees himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Freeman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Ipkiss moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Ipkiss swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Freeman passes into half guard. Ipkiss pushes Freeman off looking to stand but Freeman dives back in and keeps control.
Freeman is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Freeman seems to be working for a kimura but Ipkiss defends the submission attempt. Freeman is trying to control. Ipkiss wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Freeman looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Ipkiss is looking to escape. Freeman is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Freeman is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Ipkiss to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Ipkiss keeping moving, preventing Freeman from controlling successfully.

Freeman looking to pass the guard. Freeman works a leg free and moves into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gordon Freeman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Gordon Freeman's cut. That's time! Ipkiss's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Ipkiss screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
