Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damo Bodhidharma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanko Velilkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Stanko Velilkov enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Damo Bodhidharma!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stanko Velilkov!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Bodhidharma.
An inside leg kick from Bodhidharma misses.
Velilkov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bodhidharma paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Velilkov shoots in and bounces Bodhidharma off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

It looks like Velilkov might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Velilkov cracks Bodhidharma with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Bodhidharma is bucking up trying to escape but Velilkov cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Velilkov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bodhidharma's guard.

Velilkov rushes Bodhidharma and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Bodhidharma gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Velilkov.
Velilkov tries to score a body lock takedown but Bodhidharma shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Velilkov closes the distance and clinches up with Bodhidharma, looking for a takedown. Velilkov pushes Bodhidharma against the cage but Bodhidharma circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

No joy there for Bodhidharma, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bodhidharma misses with an attempted mid kick.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A nice inside leg kick there by Bodhidharma. That's going to slow Velilkov down.
Velilkov is breathing heavily.

Stanko Velilkov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
