The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rutten throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Rua looks to land a left hand but Rutten moved out of range nicely.
Rua buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Rua lands a big head kick that sends Rutten tumbling to the mat! Rua takes a step backwards and waves Rutten back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Rutten is rocked!
It looks like Bas Rutten has been cut.
Mauricio Rua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Rua - that will leave a mark!
Oh Rutten is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
