Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vince Dixon!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller throws a series of punches but Dixon avoids them all with ease.
Miller throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Miller misses with a straight right.
Miller throws a series of punches but Dixon moves out of range.
Dixon wants to clinch.
Dixon looks to score with a jab to the body but Miller is just out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Dixon. Those never looked like landing.
Dixon misses with a right hand
and Miller counters with a left to the body.

Dixon drops his shoulder and cracks Miller with a huge uppercut! Miller goes down! Can Dixon finish him?


It looks like Tim Miller has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Dixon loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Dixon missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Dixon tries to free his leg and advance position but Miller is retaining full guard.
Dixon is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Dixon throws a big right hand that misses.

Dixon trying to control but Miller is working from the bottom.
Miller pulls Dixon in close to his closed guard and prevents Dixon from doing any damage or advancing position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Miller shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Miller showed some decent athleticism there.

Dixon has one foot on Miller's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Miller misses with a series of wild punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
No joy there for Miller, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dixon takes a swing at Miller's ribcage but misses.
Miller looks to land a right hand but Dixon moved out of range.
Miller ducks under a wild hook from Dixon.
Miller really is a fat lump.

Dixon rushes Miller and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Dixon stalling the fight.
Dixon stops a takedown attempt from Miller.
Miller tries to circle away but Dixon has him pinned against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dixon tries to throw a body punch but Miller avoids it by throwing Dixon back against the cage.
Dixon gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Dixon lands an elbow just above Miller 's eye.
Miller is breathing heavily.
Dixon lands a nice knee to the body.
Dixon stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Dixon lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Dixon takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Miller working hard to break the clinch.
Dixon unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Dixon maintains plum control as Miller tries to back straight out! Dixon connects with one knee! Two knees! Three, four, five, six...seven unasnwered knees! Miller blocks the eight but eats the ninth - then collapses! Oh the brutality!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knees). Vince Dixon!
