Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tom Tucker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter McCool (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCool has chosen I'm Shipping Up to Boston as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Tom Tucker could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Peter McCool's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCool tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Tucker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Tucker defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McCool.

McCool misses with a hook.
No joy there for Tucker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tucker misses with a jab, cross combination.
McCool takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

McCool clinches up with Tucker and pushes him back against the cage.

McCool drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

McCool has his foot on Tucker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tucker works his way back into a safe position though.

McCool is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tucker defends well.

McCool sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
McCool is not content to let Tucker control the position.
Tucker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McCool on the ground.

McCool seems to have recovered his senses.

Tucker wants to lay and pray for a moment but McCool keeps working.
Tucker winds up and cracks McCool with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
McCool manages to get to full guard.
Tucker has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Tucker goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

McCool takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Tucker connects with a body shot that sends McCool's belly button to the back.
Tucker is looking to wear down McCool with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Tucker fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Tucker is pawing at McCool, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into McCool's nose. McCool is badly hurt! Tucker pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! McCool tries desperately to hold on but Tucker is relentless in his assault! As McCool receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Tucker away and this one is in the books!
