Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tucker Max (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aslak Lappalainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tucker Max! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aslak Lappalainen! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Max will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lappalainen feints and as Max raises his hands in defense, Lappalainen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Max working a defensive guard here.
Lappalainen stands and steps away. Max gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Max really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lappalainen working the ground and pound effectively.

Lappalainen is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Max can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Max tries to hold on but Lappalainen pushes him away. Max knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lappalainen on the ground. Max tries to reverse the position but Lappalainen maintains control. Max is breathing heavily. Lappalainen controlling from the full mount. Let's hope that Lappalainen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Max is trying to get back to his feet but Lappalainen has full control of the position and if anything, Max has just worked his way into a worse spot. Aslak Lappalainen dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Max takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Lappalainen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Lappalainen trying to control the pace. Lappalainen lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Max tries to get to full guard but Lappalainen has control of the leg.
Lappalainen decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Max looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Lappalainen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Lappalainen lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lappalainen is looking to advance position but Max won't allow it. Max is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Lappalainen controlling the action here. Max has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lappalainen is working away from the top position though.  Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Lappalainen fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Max wants to clinch. Max misses with a few strikes there.

 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Max tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Max lands a two punch combo.
Lappalainen tries for a takedown but Max sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Tucker Max has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aslak Lappalainen.
Max closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Lappalainen is pushing Max's head away, looking to escape. Max manages to hold on to the position though. Lappalainen sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Lappalainen has one foot on Max's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Max displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Max takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Lappalainen quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Max has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Lappalainen celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
