Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Kermodian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wade Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kermodian's entrance music is Arctic Monkeys - Mardy Bum. A fine choice. Wilson has chosen Ave Maria as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Kermodian! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wade Wilson! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilson swings for the body but Kermodian moves out of range.
Wilson connects with a body shot that sends Kermodian's belly button to the back. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Wilson, as that shot connected.
Kermodian lands with a nice combination. Wilson backs away looking to recover. Wilson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Wilson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kermodian.
A bone on bone clash there as Wilson blocks the leg kick.
Kermodian throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Nice cross by Wilson. Kermodian throws a half hearted mid kick. Excellent takedown into side control there by Kermodian. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Wilson is not content to let Kermodian control the position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kermodian working away. Kermodian fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson is trying to control Kermodian's posture but Kermodian avoids it. Wilson tries to improve position but can't. Kermodian throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Wilson is not content to let Kermodian control the position. Wilson is looking to regain half guard here but Kermodian keeps moving and retains side control. Wilson defending against the ground and pound. Wilson is trying to improve his position. Wilson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Wilson trying to pass the guard but Kermodian defending well. Kermodian tries to roll over but Wilson keeps him under control. Wilson stalling away here and it's allowed Kermodian to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Wilson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Wilson tries to free his leg and advance position but Kermodian is retaining full guard. Wilson with a nice head shot there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kermodian trying to control but Wilson is working from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kermodian buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Wilson scores with the left hand. Kermodian knows he should have avoided that one. Wilson throws a big shot that misses. Kermodian chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Wilson can pounce on him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wilson darts in and out, connecting with a jab. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wilson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Wilson lands with a good body shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kermodian takes one to the chin there. Kermodian shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Wilson is not content to let Kermodian control the position. Wilson tries to get to full guard but Kermodian has control of the leg. Kermodian is trying to control the action in half guard but Wilson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kermodian tries to pass the half guard into mount. Wilson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Kermodian thows a huge punch but Wilson dodges it nicely.

Not much technique there but it did the business. Kermodian tries to clinch up. Wilson blocks a low kick nicely. Kermodian misses with a double jab.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kermodian misses with a body shot
and Kermodian takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Kermodian pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kermodian lands a jab-cross combination. Kermodian looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Wade Wilson seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kermodian throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A slow jab from Wilson misses its intended target. Kermodian throws a lazy head kick and Wilson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Kermodian avoids the body shot from Wilson.
Kermodian takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Wilson lands with a shot to the body. Wilson misses with a wild body shot. Wilson digs a good body shot into Kermodian's ribs. Kermodian tries a head kick but it misses.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kermodian throws a head kick that misses. Wilson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Kermodian can't keep his opponent in guard - Wilson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wilson is trying to work for a kimura but Kermodian is defending well.

A close second round but Wade Wilson will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Wilson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Kermodian doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Mark Kermodian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kermodian throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Wilson. Wilson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kermodian. Wilson digs a good hook to Kermodian's body.
Wilson takes a swing at Kermodian's ribcage but misses. A looping hook to the body misses from Wilson. Kermodian does a little dance to reset his feet. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kermodian misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kermodian turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Kermodian tries to clinch up but Wilson circles away and keeps his distance. Wilson avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Wilson lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Wilson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kermodian was well out of range. Poor timing from Wilson. Kermodian slips under a jab. Wilson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Wilson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kermodian shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Wilson getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Wilson lands with a kick to the ribs.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kermodian swings away with a leg kick that misses. Kermodian closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wilson did well to prevent Kermodian getting side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wilson regains full guard. Nicely done. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wilson is trying to keep Kermodian in close.

Kermodian can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wilson is looking to escape. Kermodian is really struggling to control Wilson but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Kermodian looking to control but Wilson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Kermodian content just to control the position here. Wilson working to try and regain half guard.

He hasn't managed just yet though. Wilson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. This has been an exciting period of action! Kermodian trying to control the pace. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kermodian connects with a nice short shot to Wilson's temple. Kermodian thows a huge punch but Wilson dodges it nicely.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mark Kermodian. I think Wilson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
