The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Jones checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Buster looks to land a body kick but Jones moved away.
Jones blocks the body kick.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Buster swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Buster connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Jones darts in trying to clinch
and Buster counters with a nice body shot.
Buster scores with the left hand. Jones knows he should have avoided that one.
A nice inside leg kick there by Buster. That's going to slow Jones down.
Jones walks into a stiff left hand from Buster.

Buster shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jones eats them both and turns towards Buster to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Jones is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Buster is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Buster has escaped and now he's on top!

Jones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Buster can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jones throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Buster escapes and throws Jones's legs to the side, diving into side control!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
