The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
der Grosse ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Pullford throws a sloppy head kick and der Grosse moves out of range easily.
der Grosse ducks under a wild hook from Pullford.
Pullford shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Pullford defending well as der Grosse loads up on a big left hand.
der Grosse keeps the fight on the outside.
der Grosse throws a right and a left that Pullford avoids nicely.
der Grosse throws a body punch but Pullford moves out of range.
der Grosse throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

der Grosse bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pullford's head backwards.
der Grosse fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Pullford darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
der Grosse looks like he's trying to stand up.

Pullford is trying to control. der Grosse wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
der Grosse regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Pullford.

der Grosse wants to get back to his feet.
der Grosse parries the strikes from Pullford easily there. Pullford is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable der Grosse to escape.

der Grosse is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Pullford has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Pullford is trying to ground and pound but der Grosse uses the momentary lack of control by Pullford to regain half guard.
der Grosse slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Pullford looking to sit in guard and control but der Grosse gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

der Grosse is looking to work some ground and pound but Pullford has wrist control.
der Grosse loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Pullford is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. der Grosse is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
der Grosse sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pullford's guard.
Still in half guard, der Grosse seems content to control.
der Grosse working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, der Grosse cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
der Grosse has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Pullford's face.
Pullford is rocked!
Pullford is in all sorts of trouble here.
der Grosse with shots to the head and body - Pullford looks very uncomfortable down there.
Pullford is still in real trouble! Can der Grosse finish him?
der Grosse lands a big shot to the head and Pullford winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
