Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ireneo Requina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Casey Cullen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ireneo Requina! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Casey Cullen! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cullen swings and misses with a shot to the body and Requina counters with a nice uppercut. Cullen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Requina was well out of range. Poor timing from Cullen. Requina lands with a nice combination. Cullen backs away looking to recover. A slow jab from Cullen misses its intended target. Cullen lands with a straight right. Requina didn't see that one coming. Cullen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Requina was well out of range. Poor timing from Cullen. Cullen misses the shot to the body. Requina swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Cullen. Requina uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cullen.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Requina lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's one minute gone in the round. No joy there for Requina, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cullen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Requina fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cullen sprawls well initially but Requina persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Cullen avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Requina. Cullen is refusing to be controlled, as Requina sits in half guard. Requina looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Requina trying to control the action but Cullen is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Ireneo Requina just wasn't active enough. Cullen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Requina was well out of range. Poor timing from Cullen. The fight moves into the clinch position. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Requina is trying to drag Cullen to the mat but Cullen just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Requina misses with a body punch.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ireneo Requina. That's going to take a lot out of him. Requina can't find room to land a body shot as Cullen controls the action.

We're back to striking at a distance. Requina throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cullen. Requina takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Cullen slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Requina swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cullen counters with a left to the body. Cullen on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cullen lands with a hook. Requina tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Requina is rocked! Cullen is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Requina rather than just go for the knockout. Cullen scores with a body shot.
Oh Requina is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Requina is breathing heavily. Requina gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Cullen points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Requina wakes up just in time to hear Cullen thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
