Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Kay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Hatfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hatfield loads up on a big right hand but Kay slips the punch. Kay jabs Hatfield right on the nose. Hatfield blinks but takes it well.
It looks like Matt Hatfield has been cut. Hatfield walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Nice jab there from Kay. Kay thows a body shot but no joy. Hatfield throws an overhand right that lands on Kay's shoulder, as Kay tries to avoid the shot. Hatfield takes a swing at Kay's ribcage but misses. Kay throws a right and a left that both miss. A punch combination from Kay misses. A punch combination from Kay misses. Kay throws out a loose jab but Hatfield uses good head movement to avoid it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hatfield walks into a jab. Kay throws a right and a left that both miss. Kay ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hatfield moves away. Kay lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hatfield throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Kay keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Hatfield throws a lazy right hand but Kay sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kay misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hatfield misses with a lunging right hand
and Kay counters with a nice uppercut. Kay will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hatfield sizes up Kay with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kay misses with a hook. Kay throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Hatfield to counter with a crisp jab. Hatfield scores with a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kay throws a body punch but Hatfield moves out of range. Hatfield throws a hook to the side of Kay's head but Kay sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kay misses with a takedown attempt - Hatfield sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kay walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Kay misses with a double jab
and Hatfield counters with a crisp right hand that drops Kay! Hatfield lets Kay back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

It looks like Jay Kay has been cut. Jay Kay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hatfield misses with a hook
and Hatfield takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Oh Kay is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hatfield throws a lazy uppercut
and Kay counters with a left to the body. Hatfield catches Kay with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Kay forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
