Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Verrus moves into the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Verrus is trying to break the clinch but Elliot has him pressed against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Elliot.
Elliot working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Verrus tries to score a body lock takedown but Elliot shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Elliot lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Verrus is trying to stall.
Verrus wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Elliot has him pressed against the cage.

Elliot gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Verrus wants to improve his position but Elliot is controlling well.

Elliot seems to be looking for submissions.

Elliot uses his free foot to push down on Verrus's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Verrus.

Verrus is looking to take a break and control but Elliot is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Elliot is working to avoid the ground and pound but Verrus connects with a decent elbow.
